Everyone has a theory about malevolence, where it comes from and there is soooo much hocus pocus out there it's hard for us to come to a consensus, but I am sure we will eventually. I guess the first thing I think is a load of hogwash is the belief that suicides are dark and bad. That comes form religion not from spirit! Trust me they are two very different things! Suicides are people who did a stupid thing and it is true that in my spook-learning some suicides refuse to go on and face what they did s they hang around and are sometimes mistaken for gremlin types! I had an interesting conversation with Gav about this one. He said that when you actually pass over and realise what you have done there is a panic and you think you can take it back because you created it. You actually think you can reverse it and the universe will let you think that's possible if that's where your thoughts go, to teach you a lesson and make you realise what you just did.
Let's get it straight here though, there are three types of suicides and in no case does the person exiting the earth actually want to leave nor does God smite them the minute they get there! There is the deliberate like Gav, he planned it for days before he finally executed the plan to take his own life. Something he now wishes he hadn't done obviously but by his admission "I had to get really pissed to go through with it." even though he planned it. Gav was diagnosed bipolar and decided as he felt so great he would stop taking his medication, not realising that he felt great because he WAS taking his medication and then his reality became distorted. He was and remains as far as I am concerned, a beautiful person no matter what.
There is the suicide where you aren't in the right frame of mind through drugs or alcohol when you make the decision and as alcohol and most drugs act on the part of the brain that deals with inhibitions we are no longer scared to take our own life. There is the third of course, the drunk driver. You do that and you are a potential suicide AND a potential murderer. So, suicides are people who were ill or under the influence and so do not automatically become dark entities or fire breathing poltergeists who smash plates in your kitchen that then want to roam the earth killing people! There is no logic in that any more than there is when someone bad passes over they automatically become bleached and sanitised and automatically show contrition for their misdeeds! As Henry says, "poppycock" (read the book!).
There are suicides who regret deeply what they did and like anyone who does a stupid or mean thing we all deal with it in different ways and this applies when we have passed over. I had a spook in my house who had suicided and wanted me to do it too. She tried really hard to convince me and all it came from was her anger at her own self that she had done such a stupid thing, she was resentful and lonely. Her revenge if you like, on the universe for not letting her go back and she was too scared to go forward. She was just, well a mean bitch, and was probably one in life too! Matty. Matt and Gav were suicides and I adore the three of them....in fact Gav is one of the people who backs up my gatekeeper when I get slack and leave the door open!! Matty roams my house like he owns it and I see Matt really only when I am hanging out with his friend. No black smoke type horror heads in there though!
I think this is the bit where our understanding on what IS malevolent and what ALLOWS malevolence becomes a bit patchy and we make a lot of assumptions. First of all interacting with ANY spook without knowing what you are doing is stupid because you are flinging open the door to your spook space...a little like peeing with the door open in the middle of a crowded street. It's just stupid and in both cases you are showing your bum for anyone to smack as they pass by and see the open door!!
When P and I first got together we realised that she was in a "dark place" but she certainly wasn't a suicide she died of cancer! But she got stuck in the swamp, the halfway dimension that seems to be given so many names by us humans one of the favourites being "limbo", which quite honestly brings to mind pictures of all these spooks with a broom handle shouting "lower! lower!" as the steel drums play in the background and Hat Boy shimmies under it! Nothing malevolent about that ....mon!!! So hopefully we have now dispelled of that ridiculous theory and can go onto others?
I'm waffling again aren't I? The point I am making here or trying to establish in this series of blog subjects is that we really need to be a little more analytical, perhaps even scientific in our thinking about spook instead of making up 'rules' based on assumptions, myths and fables or the mortal misdeeds of the living when they get dead, and then colouring it with information that has no logic or experiential foundation.
Like a magnet the universe has positive and negative charges, we create both as we go through life and each one of us adds to it. The wind is energy and it does positive things like create power and it does negative things like hurricanes; same for the sun, it burns things and it grows crops and is an ultimate key to human survival. Thoughts and feelings are positive and negative too; Sure you despise your Mother in law and wish she would move to Moscow but love your wife and hope she gets off work early so you can be with her...negative and positive. But the fact is ..... we in the human world are the hosts and sometime creators of malevolence and so it comes right back at us, not the other way around. It's a good place to start eh?
Next time marijuana and malevolence.
Holy crap you just answered all the questions I had about malevolence! Thank you Ally! :)
